U92 Presents / Interview w/ Cloud Nothings

Dylan Baldi found himself bored with college sometime in 2009 and, from there, started recording music, by himself, on a typical desktop computer. Three years later, he’s a member of Cloud Nothings, a moderately successful band on a nationwide tour, with an album enjoyed by many under its arm.

That album, Attack on Memory, received a Best New Music stamp from Pitchfork upon it’s release as well as numerous other positive reviews, and even here at U92, the album was met with a few months of rotation play.

I caught up with Dylan and band drummer Jayson Gerycz at their most recent show in D.C. We discussed Attack on Memory, Steve Albini, and their experience at South By Southwest.
